I bought some food at Trader Joe’s that ended up being kinda like a TV dinner. And it tasted just about like one too.

Also, I am still vegan and will still be posting videos that I’ve been shooting daily, I’m just a little behind. Will be caught up by next week, though… after The Winnies!

Kent Nichols and Bonny are nice enough to show me how great beef jerky is, then Lan, Bonny and I have dinner at Rahel Veggie Cuisine in Little Ethiopia.

I use vegetarian-restaurants.net to find vegan fast food for lunch, then after a 30 minute delay at the gas station make my way to Palms Thai in Hollywood for dinner with Lan and Bonny, Carl Weaver and his wife, Paul Dateh, Mike Ambs, Annie Tsai, Amanda Congdon, Mario Librandi and their friend Sara.

Although Palms Thai was able to accommodate my vegan needs, they did so by converting a non-vegan dish and it ended up being a little bland (they removed the fish sauce and something else that I can’t remember to make it vegan). All in all a decent experience although watching everyone else eat delicious meat Thai dishes was excruciating. The best part of the evening was Thai Elvis, man that guy can rock some Elvis.

Day 1 brings a visit to my favorite BBQ place in LA with Becker, Keats and Lan, where I needed help from our awesome server to make sure I was ordering vegan (at my FAVORITE BBQ place in LA!!!). Then I made a totally simple meal for dinner. I’ll learn a real recipe tomorrow. 

While not an exact parody of the new Apple iPhone commercials, this video was obviously very closely inspired by them.Over the next 2 weeks I’ll be working on the site, posting more videos, doing actual research on veganism and other general preparation for November 15th.

This is my new project.  Some time in the next week I’ll post a video explaining what the hell it’s about.  To start, I’ll just describe it as such: - I’m going to eat a completely vegan diet during the course of the project- The project will begin on 11/15/2007 and will end on 01/15/2008 (that’s right, through the holidays)- I will record my experiences with the project daily if possible, on video, and post them to this blog.- I will also be recording such things as my mood at select times of the day as well as my exact diet and various data such as heart rate and blood pressure (measured on the machine at the grocery store)Anyhow, the video is on its way, as soon as I get around to posting it.
