Congratulations Vu! What a dynamic choice that no doubt will prove to be a defining moment in your life. Vegan means you don't eat anything with eyes, right? Although I'm of the alternative health lifestyle myself, I'll still eat fish & chicken & eggs. I've got general concerns for your overall well being and balance during this time and really want to have a one on one - so let's talk. We all eat WAY too much in our American diets and would actually extend our lives if we lived by the CRON diet: Calorie Reduction, Optimum Nutrition. Choose power packed vegetables and try to eat as much raw as possible - The latest trend is towards the superfoods: Anything that has just sprouted - Mothers has a whole section of these - sunflower sprouts are delicious. All sprouted seeds and young cereal grasses are chock-full of stored nutrition and recuperative powers that have an average vitamin increase of more than 500 percent and tons of stored up energy - for example. Subscribe to Dr. Mercola's newsletter at www.mercola.com - it'll be a wealth of info for such a time as this. God bless and keep you - I'll be in touch.

Vu, I think that rules out turkey for Thanksgiving. technically it rules out fermented drinks as well, since yeast are animal-plant things.

Me, I am going on a macrobiotic all-beer diet starting 15 Nov and ending 18 Nov, perfectly matching my trip to LA.
